Fees for the additional services available only to MIX members

Private Peering via dedicated VLAN :

This service is provided to implement a private peering relationship between two MIX members through a dedicated VLAN on the MIX switches.

For using this service, each ISP can:

  1. connect to the MIX switches dedicated interfaces;
  2. or

  3. tag an interfaces already in use, (for example for the public peering service) applying the 802.1q protocol.

The MIX monitors separately the traffic on the dedicated VLAN. The detailed statistics are visible just to the involved ISPs and partecipate in aggreaated way to the Total MIX traffic graphic.

This service includes:

  • 1 dedicated VLAN;
  • 1 IPv4 public address (/30) external to the block used on the public peering VLAN;
  • 1 IPv6 public address (/64) external to the block used on the public peering VLAN;
  • reverse resolution of the allocated addresses;
  • precabling from the routers to the MIX switches, if necessary.
  • if implemented as described at 2.2.a:
    * set-up fee:

    =  Euro 150,00 una-tantum for each ISP

    * monthly fee:

    =  of the additional ports

  • if implemented as described at 2.2.b:
* set-up fee:

=  Euro 150,00 una-tantum for each ISP

* annual fee:

=  the traffic on the dedicated VLAN is added to the public peering traffic and partecipates in the nominal bandwidth calculation

[The fee does not include q-tagged port]

Private Peering via back to back connection:

This service is provided to implement a private peering relationship between two MIX members through a physical inter-connection between their peering routers, if both installed inside MIX data center.
If one or both routers are installed outside the MIX premises, the interconnection is considered by the MIX like an "Interconnection to transmission equipment" (see section 2.5).

The service includes:

  • laying of interconnection circuit (only if prior authorized) on specific pipes.

* set-up fee:

=  Euro 150,00 una-tantum for each ISP

* annual cost:

=  Euro 750,00 for fibers; Euro 250,00 for electrical circuit; charged to the requesting ISP.

Note: just for statistic purposes, ISPs are asked to provide to the MIX the data of traffic exchanged on the private link. The detailed statistics are non but partecipate in aggregated way to the Total MIX traffic graphic.

[The fee does not include the costs for the circuit provided by ISPs]

Closed User Group:

This service is provided to implement a private peering relationship between a group of MIX members through a dedicated VLAN on the MIX switches. Because of the peculiarity of this service, each request will be subject to the MIX evaluation and approval, and to a separeted quotation price.

For using this service, each ISP can:

  •  connect to the MIX switches dedicated interfaces;

  •  tagging an interface already in use, (for example for the public peering service), applying the 802.1q protocol

The MIX monitors separately the traffic on the dedicated VLAN. The detailed statistics are visible just to the involved ISPs and partecipate in aggregated way to the Total MIX traffic graphic.

The service includes:

  • 1 dedicated VLAN;

  • 1 IPv4 public address (/29) external to the block used on the public peering VLAN;

  • 1 IPv6 public address (/64) external to the block used on the public peering VLAN;

  • reverse resolution of the allocated addresses;

Interconnection to transmission equipment

ISPs housing their router(s) inside the MIX data center can eequest to the operators providing access (Layer 1 or Layer 2) to MIX and housed in the MIX premises their own transmission equipment and/or optical boxes, circuits for other uses than the connection of ISPs backbone to the MIX peering LAN.

The fees for this service are charged to operators that have undersigned the "Level 1 Interconnection Services at MIX - Agreement" (Ref.MIX-108e and its Annexes) and therefore are not here indicated. “Level 1 Interconnection Services at MIX – Agreement”
